Jedes Kind kennt den Eiffelturm, aber bisher erfuhr noch niemand von der Liebesgeschichte, die zum Bau des Pariser Wahrzeichens führte. Die Autorin Alice Brière-Haquet und die Illustratorin Csil vereinten ihre kreativen Talente, um diese rührende Geschichte zum Leben zu erwecken. Monsieur und Madame ­Eiffel sind ein glückliches Paar und genießen das Leben in der roman­tischsten Stadt der Welt: Paris. Bis sich Madame Eiffel eines Tages plötzlich krank und unwohl fühlt. Die Experten sind sich einig: Das Einzige, was sie retten kann, ist frische Luft. Ihr Mann, ein schlauer Ingenieur, beschließt, sich der Sache selbst anzunehmen und einen Turm zu bauen, so hoch, dass er bis in die Wolken reicht und seiner Frau zu frischer Luft verhilft.

Csils poetisch-minimale Illustrationen in schwarz, weiß und rosa sind wundervoll wie inspirierend, und die schönen Worte von Alice Brière-Haquet laden zum Vorlesen ein.

Alice Brière-Haquet, aufgewachsen in einer kleinen Stadt in der ­Normandie, ist Lehrerin, Autorin und dreifache Mutter. Nach dem Studium begann sie Bücher zu schreiben, und mittlerweile werden ihre Veröffentlichungen in bis zu 16 Sprachen übersetzt.

Csil ist eine französische Illustratorin. Nach dem Studium der visuellen Kommunikation und einem Aufbaustudium der Bildenden Künste erhielt sie das Diplôme Supérieur ­Nationale d‘Expression Plastique (DNSEP). Heute arbeitet sie als Art Director in einer Kommunikationsagentur und entwirft Bilder für die verschiedensten Kinderbücher.

Madame Eiffel wurde von der New York Times zu einem von zehn Best Illustrated Children’s Books 2015 gewählt. Die Jury sagt: "Eine kreative Erzählung über die Geschichte des Eiffelturms...romantisch und so charmant."

SHIPPING

Once your order is processed and an order confirmation is sent, you will be able to track your shipment using the link in the order confirmation. You will also be able to track your order in your customer account.

Orders are usually received within 2-3 working days for orders placed within Germany, 2-6 working days for those placed within the EU, Switzerland, and Norway. Orders placed within the US will be delivered within 3-7 working days after receiving your order confirmation. Deliveries to all other territories will take 10-14 working days.

Please note that we don’t ship on weekends and public holidays. Deliveries are not made on Sundays and other public holidays. We will try to inform you of any unexpected delays.

RETURNS
