There’s an undeniable sense of life and motion in the work of iconic illustrator Christoph Niemann. Bright colors, bold shapes, and a tongue-in-cheek sense of humor populate the visual worlds he has created since 1997. The German illustrator blends works on papers with three-dimensional objects like bananas or hair combs to fill his canvases with a sense of space and tangibility. He’s in high demand, too: His work can be found on the covers of a number of publications including the New Yorker, WIRED, and the New York Times.
