La Muralla Roja

Completed in 1965, La Muralla Roja is a breathtaking seaside apartment on the border of the Mediterranean in Spain. It takes its name from the vibrant red walls the enclose a labyrinth of twists and turns, and was built by architect Ricardo Bofill as part of the movement toward utopian architecture in the 20th Century. Indeed, for the latter half of the 1900s, a wave of architects and designers built sprawling residential complexes around the world with a modern, future-forward style. These images by photographer Gregori Civera explore the mutli-faceted architecture from both inside and out. Clad in rich reds, pastel pinks, and brilliant blues, the building’s walls are an active character in the stunning series, which is available for purchase on request.
