A Cabin Design That Combines Japanese Aesthetics and the Tasmanian Wilderness

This cabin on Bruny Island in Tasmania, Australia, was designed by architects Maguire + Devine. The client wished for a highly functional minimalistic building on her 99 acres piece of land. There were only two pieces of furniture allowed – a mattress and a low table. For the rest of the facilities, the cabin itself needed to function as "furniture".
