Elliott Erwitt (1928–2023), born in Paris to Russian parents, immigrated to the U.S. in the late 1930s. He built a successful career as a magazine photographer before joining the prestigious Magnum Photos agency in 1953. In addition to his editorial work, he achieved great success in advertising photography. Erwitt passed away in November 2023 at the age of 95.
